Leonardo Henao is an accomplished Colombian producer with experience across almost every part of specialty coffee — from cupping and quality analysis to farm management and fermentation.

His work has previously earned international recognition, including a first-place Cup of Excellence result in 2020 with a Chiroso from his former farm, Los Palomos. After being forced to sell that farm, Leonardo returned to coffee production in 2024, bringing years of experience into his latest projects.

This SL28 is grown at 1,950–2,050 masl in Antioquia. The processing is particularly interesting: ripe cherries undergo 24–48 hours of fermentation in the fruit, before being pulped and fermented for a further 1–3 days away from light, then sun-dried.

The result is a clean but layered expression of SL28, with blackcurrant and berry character, citrus-like acidity and a black-tea finish.
